A yacht event for a big guest list is one of the most memorable ways to celebrate in the UAE, but it needs a different kind of planning than a two-hour cruise with friends. This guide walks you through every step, from choosing the date to the moment the last guest steps back onto the pier.

1. Start with the guest list and the city

Everything depends on the number of guests. Our two event yachts are 165 ft long and host up to 300 guests: Rose Royale in Abu Dhabi and Desert Rose in Dubai. Choose the city that is closest to most of your guests, because travel time decides how early people arrive and how relaxed the start feels.

Under 40 guests: a luxury yacht or houseboat is usually enough.
40 to 300 guests: an event yacht gives you a hall, a lounge and an open deck for everyone at the same time.

2. Pick the date and the time of day

For big events we recommend booking as early as possible, because each event yacht hosts one event at a time. The most requested slot is the late afternoon: guests board before sunset, enjoy the golden hour on the open deck and move inside for dinner when the city lights come on.

The minimum booking is 4 hours. In practice this is a good length for a big group: about 30 minutes to welcome everyone, two hours for the main programme and dinner, and the rest for music and the night cruise.

3. Plan the layout deck by deck

Fountain lounge	Welcome area, photos, cake moment, first dance.
Open top deck	Sunset, lounge seating, DJ and dancing after dark.

Think about the flow: where guests arrive, where they leave their bags, where the main moment happens and where people go when the music starts.

4. Choose the catering package

Catering is booked per person, with a minimum of 25 guests:

Standard, AED 349 per person: 5-star buffet, BBQ or canapés with a live station, soft drinks and beverage package for 4 hours, service staff and security.
Premium, AED 449 per person: premium buffet or canapés with a live station, beverage package for 4 hours, service staff, security, hostess and AV setup.
Royal, AED 849 per person: a bespoke 5-star menu, DJ, hostess, security and AV setup.

5. Build the budget

The yacht costs AED 8,990 per hour for the whole yacht, so a 4-hour event starts from AED 35,960. Add the catering per guest:

6. Run order for the day

Guests arrive 15 to 20 minutes before boarding, with an original passport or Emirates ID.
Welcome on the open deck as the yacht leaves.
Main programme in the hall: speeches, presentation or ceremony moment.
Dinner service.
Music, dancing and the night cruise back.
